Our Sewer Services Overview
SEWER UPGRADES
The Walnut Creek Sewer District is nearing completion of the $5 million expansion that began in 2023. After nearly 50 years of operation, it was time to modernize treatment of wastewater and address needed maintenance and upgrade operational controls.
The primary activities/upgrades were:
1. Addition of two aeration tanks which will treat wastewater more effectively than the dated oxidation ditches (racetracks)
2. Mapping, cleaning and sealing of not only the primary trunk lines but laterals servicing residences.
The public's patience during this period is greatly appreciated!
